Mena Alexandra suvari, born on February 13, 1979, in America is an actor also a fashion designer, and model. After a brief period as a model for fashion before moving into acting by appearing as a guest on TV shows like Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. She had her first film part in the drama Nowhere. The actress made her way to major roles with her performances on American Beauty for which she was nominated for an BAFTA Award and American Pie each of which garnered more attention. She has appeared with the co-star of American Pie Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) before starring as the main character for the film Sugar & Spice (2001). The film also featured her in the 2002 independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. In addition, she was a part of HBO's drama series Six Feet Under in 2004 the show was awarded a nomination for an Outstanding Cast in the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was featured in various films like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been featured on fashion blogs as well as in magazines, such Vogue as well as Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. Suvari is a committed supporter and campaigner for the African Medical and Research Foundation.
