Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was morning news anchor for WCBD TV and acted as an investigative reporter. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases has led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the incidents. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the year Award for every aspect of South Carolina media. O'Dell, after her stint in Charleston reporting and co-anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving into Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent on weekends. O'Dell's current role as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She has covered such events as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Also, she co-hosted Miss USA's pageant as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
